WHAT’S GOING AROUND: Coronavirus cases, new flu cases on the rise

Countries around the world are working together to stop the spread of Coronavirus and Mid-Missouri flu cases are on the rise.

Chinese health workers confirmed Tuesday that coronavirus is behind more than 100 deaths. State officials said around 4,500 cases have been confirmed.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported five cases of the respiratory illness in the US. The CDC also said there are about 110 possible cases reported.

Broadway Urgent Care told ABC 17 News that it continues to see new cases of the flu. Workers said they have seen cases of Influenza Type A and B.

The urgent care said anyone with the flu can request Tamiflu to help battle the symptoms. Workers also have flu shots for anyone older than 12 years of age.
