Fulton man arrested for drug trafficking
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Callaway County deputies arrested a man for drug trafficking across the street from a daycare in Fulton.
John Nevins, 59, of Fulton was arrested Friday morningĀ and is now facing several drug charges. Nevins is being held on a $50,000 bond. Nevins has previous drug and weapons charges.
Friday morning, the Callaway County MUSTANG Drug Task Force and Fulton Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1700 block of Westminster Drive in Fulton at 6:30.
Callaway County Sheriff's Office said it communicated with head start daycare to ensure officers were in and out before staff and students arrived. Deputies told staff members about the warrant and arrest when they arrived at work half an hour later, and assured them no one at the daycare was in danger.
While serving the warrant, deputies recovered $5,000 in cash and 3/4 of a pound of methamphetamine.
