FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Fulton Police Department said it arrested a 21-year-old man after he allegedly led officers on a chase Thursday morning.
According to a news release, officers on patrol tried to make contact with two vehicles parked at the Morgan Soccer Complex shortly before 3 a.m.
Police said both vehicles started to drive off. One of the vehicles, driven by Floyd Murray, allegedly tried to hit an officer's patrol car before it sped off.
According to the release, Murray led officers on a chase down some county roads before police used a tire deflation device. Police said Murray eventually turned onto eastbound Highway 54 and stopped near County Road 306.
Officers said Murray got out of his vehicle and ran away. Police caught up with him and arrested Murray in the 1100 block of Randall Lane in Fulton.
According to police, Murray faces possible charges of second-degree assault against a special victim, resisting arrest, and two driving violations.
FPD said Murray is being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail pending charges.
