COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported, but occupants of a home in the 6500 block of Village Road were displaced after a Monday morning fire, according to a social media post from the Osage Fire Protection District.

The department wrote that three sides of a one-and-a-half story house were on fire at 8:20 a.m. Monday. A partial collapse was reported and crews had the fire under control within a half hour, the post states. Crews remained on the scene for about three hours.

Osage Fire Protection District Chief Barry Gipe told ABC 17 crews at the scene that the homeowner was taking their kids to school when the fire started.

The amount of residents displaced was not described. The Red Cross was called to assist.

Gipe said Osage Fire along with Cole County EMS, Ameren, Cole County Sheriff Department and Jefferson City Fire Department responded to the fire.
