Centralia fire department responds to early morning camper fire
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Centralia fire crews responded to an early morning camper fire at the corner of West Southgate Street and Switzler Street in Centralia.
Sergeant Jerry Stoebe with Centralia Police Department told ABC 17 News crews that police were dispatched to the fire around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Stoebe also says fire crews were able to contain the fire quickly.
The photo shows the fire nearly burnt the camper in half and it can be seen wrapped in yellow fire tape from near a nearby road.
Stoebe tells ABC 17 News that fire officials believe the fire started from a breaker box. Centralia Police Department told ABC 17 News they don't plan to investigate the fire further unless they make new discoveries.
