Construction on sidewalks near MU’s campus to begin next week, lasts through August
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Construction on sidewalks in the Greektown area near the University of Missouri’s campus will begin Wednesday, according to a press release from the City of Columbia.
The project is expected to last through Aug. 2. The project includes constructing a new sidewalk along Curtis Avenue, repairing deteriorated sidewalk panels, reconstruction of driveway approaches and replacing curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards, the release says.
The Greektown area is described as the area bordered by Rollins Street, Tiger Avenue, Kentucky Boulevard and Providence Road, which is populated by a number of MU’s fraternities and sororities.
Various sidewalk closures and lane restrictions will occur on Curtis Avenue, Tiger Avenue, Richmond Avenue, Burnam Avenue, Rollins Street and Kentucky Boulevard, the release states.
