Man accused of hazing Danny Santulli to go to trial

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A University of Missouri student is set to go to trial over his alleged role in a hazing incident that left Danny Santulli disabled.

Ryan P. Delanty, 21, of Ballwin, is charged with hazing causing life endangerment – a felony – and supplying liquor to a minor, a misdemeanor. A hearing was held Monday at the Boone County Courthouse. A future court date was not released.

He's accused of being a part of the incident which left Danny Santulli paralyzed after he suffered from alcohol poisoning at a fraternity event.

Delanty was the "pledge dad" for Santulli.

Santulli was allegedly forced to drink large amounts of vodka, and then was taken to a hospital in a private car after he became unresponsive.

Santulli was left unable to walk, talk or see after the incident.

Another man charged in relation to the incident, Thomas Shultz, has a hearing set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 24. He is charged with hazing, tampering with physical evidence and supplying liquor to a minor.
