Columbia hosting South Korean polling location Saturday and Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
For the next two days, Columbia will be the site of a satellite polling location for the upcoming South Korean presidential election.
Columbia is the fourth location in the midwest available for voters.
Previously only locations in Chicago, Detroit and Indianapolis were available for registered absentee voters.
Columbia was chosen because of its geographic location and large voter population.
Director of Asian Affairs Center Sang Kim says, "This is huge in Columbia, Missouri. I think we're probably the only college town in the US has been selected as our polling site polling location for the Korean presidential election."
The location is on Mizzou's campus at the MU Assessment Resource Center.
It will be open from 8 a.m till 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
