California R-I School District pushes back school year after bomb threat

CALIFORNIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

California R-I schools will not start the school year until next Wednesday, following a bomb threat was sent to the district.

According to the school district, they put the entire district on lock down through Sunday following the threat.

School was originally scheduled to start next Monday. However, the school board voted Wednesday night to delay the start date to Wednesday, August 26.

Open house at the district's elementary school is now scheduled for Monday from 4- 7 p.m.
