Columbia middle school to hold back-to-school event Wednesday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Staff at a Columbia middle school plan to hold a back-to-school event Wednesday.

The "Back to School Bash" is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at John Warner Middle School. Organizers want the event to welcome the community back to school.

The Back to School Bash will allow parents to meet their student's teachers. Food, family games, raffles, and fall sports scrimmages are also planned for the event.

John Warner Middle School Assistant Principal Brenda Parisi said she hopes to see the community turn out for the event as the middle school only opened in 2020.

Teachers in different grade levels will have varying availabilities at the event, which can be found below.

The middle school has also been advertising the event on its Facebook page.
