QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you support the Columbia Board of Education’s mask vote?

The Columbia Board of Education voted Monday night to extend the district's coronavirus response plan, which includes a mandate that everyone wears a mask indoors.

The board approved the superintendent's recommendation unanimously after hearing data about elevated levels of community transmission of coronavirus. The board also heard from members of the public supporting and opposed to the mask mandate.

  1. There’s little to no evidence that masks work, abundant evidence they don’t, and in fact cause their own health problems. Children K-12 are under little to no risk from the virus, and Fauci has stated they are not a significant transmission vector.
