VIDEO: Columbia superintendent talks fall return

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Peter Stiepleman, the superintendent of Columbia Public Schools, was on ABC 17 News at 6 a.m. Thursday.

This comes after CPS announced plans for its return to school in the fall amid COVID-19. The district plans to allow families to choose whether to have their student(s) participate in the typical five-day week with in-person classes or to learn completely online.

The district also announced plans to review attendance areas for elementary schools. In an email to CPS families, the district detailed virtual focus groups to be held on June 8.
