QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should the lawsuit against CPS mask mandates be dismissed?
Columbia Public Schools has asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit challenging its power to issue mask mandates.
Attorney General Eric Schmitt sued the district and dozens of others over their mask mandates last winter, when coronavirus cases were much higher than they are now. The district hasn't had a mandate in place in months.
However, Schmitt is continuing the lawsuit against CPS and two other districts. He says he wants to prevent schools from requiring masks to limit the spread of disease.
