SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses after a Sedalia officer-involved shooting on Sunday night.

Sedalia police responded to a report of a man armed with a gun at a residence in the 700 block of W. Broadway Blvd at 6:18 p.m. The suspect was also wanted for a felony parole violation along with other warrants.

The man, Masen Moore, 22, of Sedalia, allegedly left the residence and ran off on foot and then fired at police.

Officials say a Sedalia officer shot at Moore and hit him.

Officers then secured Moore and gave him aid before EMS took him to a local hospital. Moore was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Troopers say that through social media posts, there are more potential additional witnesses and are asking them to come forward.
