Kansas City man charged in connection to Feb. 16 shooting in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Boone County prosecutor has charged a Kansas City man in connection to two shootings in Columbia on Wednesday.
Adrian Bradshaw is charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
According to court records, Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting just after 1 p.m. at the 1000 block of S. Roseta Ave. and found bullet casings and a female victim at University Hospital’s ER with a gunshot wound. Deputies report finding the vehicle that left the scene and the vehicle had multiple bullet holes in it.
Columbia police then responded to shots fired call on the 600 block of Talon Road. Officers reported finding 25 shell casings that were fired from three different guns according to court documents. A victim was taken to Women’s and Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. Police overserved nine bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle.
A witness told police that she saw three men firing shots at a residence on Talon Road.
Investigators talked with the victim at University Hospital who gave consent to download information from his phone. In the phone, texts identified one shooter as a family member and connected to both shootings.
After talking to a witness, detectives got security footage from Xpress Liquor and a connected business that showed the suspects’ vehicle, a silver Toyota Highlander. Police using a license plate reader determined the vehicle was a rental from Enterprise. Police then determined that Bradshaw was the person that rented the vehicle.
On Friday, police detectives located the vehicle at the intersection of West Worley St. and Stadium Blvd. Bradshaw was the only person in the vehicle.
Police detectives used a search warrant for Bradshaw’s cell phone and showed that Bradshaw’s cell was using a cell phone tower near Talon road during the time of the second shooting.
Bradshaw is currently being held without bond at the Boone County Jail.
