Shooting at Eldon funeral ends with one arrested

ELDON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Eldon police say a shooting at a funeral Wednesday afternoon ended with one person being arrested.

Bradley E. Duncan, of Chesterfield, was arrested on suspicion of committing multiple felony crimes, a police department release said.

Officers say no one was hurt in the shooting at the Millard-Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Two men were restraining Duncan inside the funeral home when police showed up, the release said.

Duncan was still armed, police said he refused to drop the gun. Officers then physically took the handgun from him.

Investigators believe Duncan attempted to kill his ex-wife, who was present at the funeral, and then shoot himself. The shooting investigation is ongoing the release said.

Duncan was booked into the Miller County Jail without bond.

Miller County prosecutors charged Duncan with a count each of first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
