Mexico officers say a house, car and utility box were damaged in a shooting Thursday morning.

A release sent by Mexico Public Safety Department Major Brice Mesko said crews responded to the 1500 block of N. Clark Street around 6:12 a.m. in reference to shots being fired in the area.

Officers said evidence of a shooting was found at the scene but that no people were hurt.

The initial investigation pointed to the shooting being part of an "ongoing dispute between some area residents," the release said. It included the investigation will continue.

It's unclear if any arrests were in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to Crimestoppers at 800-392-TIPS or Mexico public safety at 573-473-5800.
