COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police Department responded to shots fired off of Circus Ave. in Columbia.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, there were reports of several shots fired in the area.

ABC 17 News crews saw police speaking to residents of homes in the area and searching the area with flashlights. There was also crime scene tape blocking off a parking lot.

Police confirmed that shots were fired, but that no injuries had been reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
