Missouri Court of Appeals to hold oral arguments at MU, William Woods in March

MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Western District Court of Appeals will be hearing oral arguments for cases for a couple of days next month at area colleges.

Four cases each day will be heard, with the first being 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at the University of Missouri School of Law and the second at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 at William Woods University.

The court regularly convenes court in Kansas City at its courthouse, but according to a Wednesday press release, for more than 25 years, the court has held session in several of the 45 counties in the court’s jurisdiction.

One of the cases heard in Columbia includes an appeal from David Barrett, who is appealing a discrimination lawsuit that was dismissed without prejudice in June in Cole County.
