Harrisburg man sentenced to 11 years after 2019 crash that killed Columbia pedestrian
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Harrisburg man was sentenced to 11 years in a Missouri correctional facility after pleading guilty in the hit and run death of a Columbia man in the 1400 block of Range Line Street on June 29, 2019.
Charles Waddill will serve seven years for leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality and four years for tampering with physical evidence which the court has ordered to run consecutively for 11 years total. He will serve 10 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter concurrent with the other two charges.
The state dismissed a DWI, death of another not a passenger charge during court proceedings.
Waddill will be given credit for time served.
Wilson's family settled a wrongful death lawsuit against Waddill in January 2020.
