Columbia man charged with assault after an incident at Boone Hospital
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Court documents show a man is charged with three counts of assault after a situation at Boone Hospital Tuesday.
According to court documents, Columbia Police responded to the hospital after John Conrow allegedly swung a knife and chased a security guard with it.
Court documents reveal that the security guard had witnessed Conrow yelling and exposing himself to people and vehicles near the William Street parking garage.
The security guard then told police that Conrow was going to the employee parking lot before the security guard got his attention. That is when the security guard says Conrow charged at him with a knife according to court documents.
The security guard initially pepper-sprayed Conrow but that didn't stop him court documents reveal.
A second security guard, then a third show up as they attempt to subdue Conrow. According to court documents, they emptied the pepper spray and hit Conrow multiple times with a baton in their attempt to stop Conrow before police arrived.
Conrow has a $100,000 cash bond only set.
Conrow has not been arrested yet or show up in the Boone County Jail records at the time of this story.
