Jefferson City man charged with arson after house fire
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man has been charged after he was accused of setting a home on fire.
Fire crews were called to the 2700 block of Schott road just before 8 p.m.
According to the Cole County Sheriff's office, the 41-year-old man was found intoxicated and armed with a shotgun in the basement of the home.
The man's name was not released.
Deputies say he was arrested on charges of first-degree arson and unlawful use of a weapon.
