COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was charged with three felonies after she allegedly admitted to stabbing a man on Sunday morning.

Brianna Boone, 35, was charged on Monday with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. She is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court appearance was held on Monday.

The probable cause statement says the adult victim called one of their parents, saying that he was stabbed by Boone. That parent went to the victim’s residence, saw the victim on top of Boone with blood all over the floor, court documents say. The parent called 911 and Boone allegedly could be heard by Joint Communications stating that she stabbed the man in the stomach, the statement says.

Court documents say the victim had a 1-inch stab wound in his torso and a quarter-inch cut near his eyebrow.

Boone allegedly told investigators that she was trying to kill the man over an argument that occurred the day before.
