Eldon man sentenced 20 years in federal child porn case

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A registered sex offender was sentenced 20 years in federal prison on Monday for child pornography charges, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

David Arabie, 59, was sentenced in Jefferson City to 20 years in prison without parole and 25 years of supervised release after his incarceration. He is a sex offender with prior convictions. He was initially charged in this case in 2023 in Miller County.

He pleaded guilty on Oct. 26, 2023, to child porn possession. Arabie tried to withdraw his plea, but it was denied on Dec. 20, 2024, according to the release. He possessed more than 600 images of child porn, according to the release.
