An Eldon man has been charged with possession of more than 20 pictures of child pornography.

David Arabie, 57, is being held at the Miller County Jail on a $500,000 bond. An arraignment was held Friday at the Mille County Courthouse. A case review is set for 9 a.m. Friday, May 12.

A search warrant was executed Wednesday at Arabie’s residence in the 100 block of Route MM as part of an online child pornography investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, according to the probable cause statement. Twenty one images were found.

Arabie is a sex offender with prior convictions. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to being a sex offender while being with 500 feet of a park or playground. He was sentenced to three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for that charge.
