COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An 18-year-old Columbia man was charged this week with six felonies for a January home invasion robbery.

Xavier A. Viley was charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, second-degree assault, stealing and first-degree property damage. Viley is already in the Boone County Jail on accusations of violating protection orders, according to jail records.

Viley, with an unnamed accomplice, allegedly went to a woman's home Jan. 19 and stole several items while hitting her in the arms and head with a baton. Viley and his accomplice took items including a purse, house keys, credit cards, identification, cellphones and $150 in cash, according to a probable cause statement.

The address and block number were redacted in court documents.

The victim identified Viley from a photo lineup after police made contact with her last month, the probable cause statement says.
