Two arrested in Callaway County after chase starts in Montgomery County
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Callaway County deputies arrested two people Friday morning who escaped from Montgomery County authorities during a high-speed chase the previous night.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Office said in an updated post on Facebook that deputies had arrested Jessica D. Price 22, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Harrell E. Raby, 36, of Truesdale, Missouri, at about 10 a.m. after receiving reports that they had emerged from the woods in the 8100 block of Route Z.
Deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were searching for the pair after they crashed at the end of a high-speed chase that began in Montgomery County and ran. The crash happened on Interstate 70 after starting on the North Service Road in New Florence at about 8 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
At one point during the chase -- on Deer Road in Montgomery County -- the fleeing vehicle turned around and hit a patrol car after emerging from a cloud of dust, Montgomery County authorities say. The deputy in the cruiser was not hurt.
A manhunt that started Thursday night lasted through Friday morning.
Raby had several warrants for traffic violations in other areas of Missouri, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says.
Raby was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and assaulting a law enforcement officer. Price was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, leaving the scene of a crash and assaulting a law enforcement officer.
Information about charges was not available Friday afternoon in online court records.
