Fulton murder suspect booked into Callaway County Jail
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man who was wanted by Fulton police for allegedly taking part in a deadly shooting was in the Callaway County Jail on Monday.
Mitchell Henderson Jr., 44, was booked Monday afternoon, according to online jail records. Information about Henderson's case was not available in online court records Monday.
Henderson was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and illegal gun possession. He is accused in the shooting of Jakiem O. Braggs, 19, of Fulton in the 1200 block of Kathy Street in what police called a possible ambush.
Police said in a news release Friday that they were looking for Henderson, calling him "armed and dangerous." Police have not detailed the accusations against Henderson, citing a need to protect the case's integrity.
Emmanuel Brown, 20, Taeon Logan, 23, and Quiara Walton, 19, of Fulton all appeared in Callaway County Court by video on Friday.
Walton is charged with first-degree murder, while Logan and Brown are charged with accessory first-degree murder for the shooting death of Jakiem O. Braggs, 19, of Fulton, according to online court records.
A juvenile was also taken into custody in the case on Wednesday in Boone County.
Court documents say Walton "lured" Braggs to the street after they were fighting on Snapchat. Logan, Brown and a minor were all allegedly waiting behind a car to shoot Braggs when he got to the scene.
They claimed they shot him in the head three times when Braggs' gun jammed. Documents say Brown told an investigator that he was expecting "retaliation on both side" because of the shooting.
