Third person charged in alleged armed robbery in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A third person accused in an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday in Columbia has been charged.
Isabella Canup, 18, of Columbia, was charged on Thursday with first-degree accessory to armed robbery and second-degree accessory to armed robbery. She was not listed on the Boone County Jail roster as of Thursday afternoon. A warrant was ordered for her arrest and no bond was set.
Court documents say Canup is accused of driving the getaway vehicle for Damiere French, 18, of St. Peters, and Zane Walker, of Columbia.
French was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and resisting arrest. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.
Walker was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing. He is not listed on the Boone County Jail roster as of Thursday afternoon. A warrant was ordered for his arrest and no bond was set.
Court documents filed on Thursday say two men approached the victim with a gun and a knife before taking the victim’s phone and keys and getting in a 2013 Ford Explorer that was driven away. The victim’s apartment was “ransacked,” according to previous court documents filed.
Canup allegedly drove Walker back to St. Peters, the statement claims.
Previous reporting states that police were called to the 2100 block of West Broadway. The victim was allegedly able to point out French to police while he was walking in the area, the statement says. French ran away and was eventually arrested at the intersection of West Broadway and Heather Lane, court documents say.
French allegedly told police that he was involved in the robbery, but was the “lookout” while Walker went through the apartment, according to court documents.
