MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Versailles man was charged on Monday with statutory sodomy of a child younger than 12 years old.

Joshua Allen Haggerman, 42, is being held at the Morgan County Jail without bond. Haggerman appeared in court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty. He has a bond hearing set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 18.

According to the probable cause statement, the child victim told interviewers at Kid’s Harbor in Osage Beach on May 28 that they were sexually assaulted by Haggerman while they were at his residence the weekend of April 27. The statement says Haggerman was supposed to take care of two children that weekend.

Court documents say Haggerman had also put alcohol in drinks the youth consumed. The victim had allegedly told law enforcement that Haggerman only assaults them while they are at his residence.

Haggerman was interviewed by law enforcement on Monday and he denied the allegations, court documents say.
