A man who was charged with several child sex crimes in 2020 was arrested on Friday evening.

Jarrod Don Hoffman, 50, was charged on July 16, 2020, with four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. Court records list his address as Fulton, but jail records indicate he is from Columbia. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. An initial court appearance was scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Court records state that two of the counts stemmed from alleged assaults in September 2010, and the second pair are listed from 2015.

Court records show that Hoffman previously pleaded guilty on Oct. 27, 2014, to possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to probation at the time and completed a 120-day sex offender program, court records state. However, his probation was revoked in 2016 and he was sentenced to seven years in prison on Nov. 14, 2016. Hoffman allegedly admitted to violating his probation on Aug. 8, 2016.

Hoffman pleaded guilty on Dec. 30, 2016, to failure to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
