JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A former Camden County deputy and school resource officer who was already charged in Missouri with 14 child pornography crimes now has a federal charge filed against him.

Darrin Marshall Skinner, 49, of Camdenton, was charged on Wednesday in the Western District Court of Missouri with distribution of child pornography. He is also charged in Camden County with two counts of child porn possession, six counts of second-degree promoting child porn and six counts of first-degree promoting child porn.

Skinner is being held at the Camden County Sheriff’s Office without bond, according to jail records. A bond hearing was scheduled for Thursday. A pretrial conference was scheduled in Camden County for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4. A jury trial is set for 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9. A hearing in the federal case has not been set.

Missouri Department of Public Safety spokesman Mike O’Connell told ABC 17 News in an email that Skinner’s peace officer license was permanently surrendered and he can never work in law enforcement again in Missouri.

According to previous reporting, court documents say that Skinner uploaded child porn to the social media website MeWE from Oct. 2, 2020-June 28 2022. Skinner allegedly admitted to owning the social media account and receiving child pornography, but denied sending any, court documents say.
