Evidence markers seen, car shot in neighborhood off Scott Boulevard, deputy says

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A car was shot and shell casings were found in a neighborhood off of Scott Boulevard Wednesday night, according to a Boone County Sheriff's deputy.

No injuries have been reported. The scene was near the intersection of Scott Boulevard and West Bellview Drive.

A neighbor told ABC 17 News that they heard what sounded like six-to-10 shots. An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least six evidence markers placed on the ground by law enforcement on Bethany Drive.

A woman -- who wished to not be identified -- told an ABC 17 News reporter that someone inside of a black car shot at her.

The intersection of Scott Boulevard and Bethany Drive was temporarily blocked off. A Boone County Joint Communication message stated it is "closed due to police incident." The road closed at 10:50 p.m. and reopened minutes later.
