Man accused of Cole County stabbing arrested in Springfield

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 22-year-old man who was accused of a Cole County stabbing on Monday night was arrested in Springfield, according to a Tuesday press release from the Cole County Sheriff’s Office.

The release states Fredy Navichoc-Putzul is accused of attempted murder and armed criminal action. Charges have not yet appeared on Casenet. The release states he was arrested at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Navichoc-Putzul was listed on the Cole County Jail roster onTuesday evening.

The release states that Cole County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 6900 block of Meadowbrook Drive about an “assault in progress involving a knife.” The victim was brought to University Hospital in Columbia with life-threatening injuries, but is stable, according to the release.
