Shell casings found after shooting on Rainbow Drive; nearby home hit

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded shots fired call on Tuesday night to the 200 block of North Rainbow Drive in Boone County.

Captain Brian Leer with the department told ABC 17 News deputies found shell casings in the road and one home with damage from the shooting.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to identify any suspects and motive, according to Leer.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least nine deputy patrol vehicles at 9:48 p.m. Rainbow Drive was temporarily closed until 10:10 p.m. while deputies searched the area.
