A Columbia man has been charged after he was accused of sending nude images of another man without his consent.

Casey Babcock, 42, was charged with nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, a felony. He was booked into the Boone County Jail on Dec. 19 and posted a $4,500 bond the same day, according to jail and court records. An initial court appearance is set for 9 a.m. Thursday at the Boone County Courthouse.

According to the probable cause statement, police spoke with the victim on Nov. 2, who said Babcock sent a nude image to another person by using an old phone and phone number of the victim. Babcock allegedly sent the image while posing as the victim and told that person to meet up with the victim for “sexual relations,” according to the statement.

The victim told police that Babcock sent the image after he was served an ex parte, according to the probable cause statement. The person who received the image had allegedly contacted the victim on social media, according to the statement.
