Man accused of drunkenly crashing vehicle into Cole County home

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Gerald, Missouri, man was arrested on Saturday night after he was accused of drunkenly crashing a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado into a home in the 3100 block of Southwood Hills Road in Cole County.

According to arrest and crash reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brian Lauth was heading southbound on Southwood Hills Road in the Chevrolet, which went off the right side of the road and hit a residence.

Lauth, 43, suffered minor injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. He was brought to Capital Region Medical Center by a Cole County Sheriff's deputy.

Charges have yet to appear on Casenet, but the arrest report states he is accused of driving while intoxicated while being a repeat offender and reckless driving. He was placed on a 24-hour hold, the report states.
