Man charged with 13 child sex crimes in Phelps County

ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was arrested on Wednesday at his home in Salem after he was charged with 16 sex crimes, 13 of which involving children, according to a social media post from the Phelps County Sheriff’s Office.

Dustin Leon Drennen, 34, was charged with 11 counts of statutory sodomy, two counts of first-degree statutory rape, one count of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sodomy. He is being held without bond at the Phelps County Jail. A docket hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Phelps County Courthouse.

According to a grand jury indictment, Drennen was accused of sexually assaulting a child or children between June 1, 2018-Jan. 16, 2021.

The release states Drennen was arrested by deputies from Phelps and Dent counties.
