Mississippi man pleads guilty to child enticement involving Columbia teen

A Bay Springs, Mississippi, man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to child enticement involving a teenager from Columbia, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Zachary Wes Buckley, 49, admitted he traveled to Columbia, rented a room at a hotel and sexually assaulted the victim.

Buckley and the victim began sexually explicit conversations in an online chat room in January, according the release, and then moved their conversations to GoogleChat. The eventually met on Jan. 30.

Buckley faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole, up to a sentence of life in federal prison without parole, according to the release
