COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Mexican national has been charged in Boone County with second-degree child sex trafficking and sexual misconduct involving a child younger than 15 years old.

Francisco Acosta-Flores, 33, is not in custody. A warrant was ordered for his arrest and no bond was set.

According to the probable cause statement, Acosta-Flores knowingly exposed his genitals via text message to an underage victim between Sept.13-15. During that same period, the probable cause statement says he caused the victim to engage in making sexually explicit material and knew the victim was under-aged.

The statement says Acosta-Flores lives in Mexico and does not have valid identification for Missouri or Kansas. Acosta-Flores allegedly told the victim’s mother that he “knows people in Columbia,” after communication ended, according to the probable cause statement. The statement says Acosta-Flores knows all about their lives, including where the victim attends school and works.
