Marshall man faces several child porn charges
MARSHALL, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Marshall man has been charged after he was allegedly found possessing child pornography.
Brett W. Scarborough, 37, is charged with first-degree promoting child pornography and three counts of possessing more than 20 files of child pornography. He is being held in the Saline County Jail without bond.
A confined docket hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Saline County Courthouse; while a preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Scarborough on Tuesday, July 18, according to a Monday press release from the Patrol.
MSHP stated in the release that it executed a search warrant at Scarborough’s home on July 18. MSHP allegedly found several child-porn images on Scarborough’s computer.
Scarborough allegedly admitted to searching for and possessing child pornography, according to the release.
