Trial date in works for Fiji member accused of hazing

A trial date is in the works for a man accused of hazing Danny Santulli.

His attorneys told ABC 17 News that the defense is submitting a few possible trial dates for January. Those dates must be submitted to the court by Friday, July 28, according to Casenet.

Santulli was left disabled following an alleged hazing incident at Phi Gamma Delta in 2021. Santulli was left unable to walk, talk or see after suffering a traumatic brain injury that night.

Santulli's family alleged in a lawsuit against several fraternity members that he was forced to drink large amounts of hard liquor and not given immediate medical attention when he was unresponsive.

The fraternity was kicked off campus and its recognition from its national organization was withdrawn.

A number of Fiji members have taken plea deals within the past few months.
