Tracking more sunshine and warmer temperatures through Tuesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows in the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny as skies clear with highs in the upper 70s to near 80.

EXTENDED: Clouds gradually clear tonight as high pressure moves overhead. We'll start out cool near 60 degrees on Monday morning, but can look forward to a warm and pleasant start to the week as highs reach the upper 70s with sunshine by the afternoon. Clouds return on Tuesday, but a southerly breeze will push temperatures to near the low 80s by late afternoon. Showers move in by Wednesday afternoon or evening head of a stronger cold front that could bring all-day rain and storms on Thursday. A few spot showers cloud linger into Friday, but we'll work on drying out for the weekend with cooler temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s from Friday on into the weekend. Rain amounts look to be in the 1.5-2" range.
