Prairie Home man charged after allegedly hitting person in head with pry bar
PRAIRIE HOME, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Prairie Home man was arrested Thursday and later charged after allegedly hitting another person in the head with a pry bar five times.
George Horridge, 35, is charged with second-degree assault and armed-criminal action. He is being held in the Cooper County Jail on a $25,000 bond, according to court records.
A Cooper County Sheriff’s Deputy saw the victim with at least two lacerations on their head, according to the probable cause statement. Horridge allegedly left the area in a vehicle before deputies arrived, but was found at an Eagle Stop on Steven Kole Court.
At least three witnesses were listed in the probable cause statement who allegedly heard the victim yelling. Horridge allegedly walked by one of the witnesses and said he didn’t do it, according to the statement.
According to the probable cause statement, the victim allegedly grabbed an item from the top shelf of the garage and tried to go back into the residence, according to the probable cause statement.
Horridge was allegedly sitting in the doorway and the victim didn’t want to step over him and allegedly “excuse me” a few times. Horridge then allegedly stood up and hit them in the head with a pry bar, according to the probable cause statement.
