Camdenton man charged with statutory rape in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Camdenton man has been charged with second-degree statutory rape in Miller County.

Austin Glen Tabor, 26, is being held at the Miller County Sheriff’s Office on a $125,000 bond. An arraignment was held Friday. A case review and bond hearing are scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at the Miller County Courthouse.

Miller County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched Wednesday to assist the Phelps County Sheriff’s Office find a runaway child. The 14-year-old girl was found in Iberia and stated she had intercourse with Tabor, who allegedly told her he was 17 years old, according to the probable cause statement..

Tabor was eventually arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday evening. During an interview, Tabor allegedly confessed to law enforcement, the probable cause statement says.
