COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman has been charged after she was accused of stealing $46,800.20 from a bank account in last year.

Concepcion Rolden-Guevara, 56, is charged with stealing more than $25,000. Her address is listed as Columbia on Casenet, but the probable cause statement lists her address as Napa, California. She is not in the Boone County Jail. A warrant was ordered Wednesday and a $50,000 bond was set.

The Columbia Police Department responded to a theft on Dec. 6, and two victims reported $46,800.20 was stolen from their business’ bank account, according to a heavily redacted probable cause statement. The name of the business was not listed.

A manager at the business allegedly told police she received an email with an invoice on Nov. 30 to pay Rolden-Guevara. The email allegedly spoofed an email address of one of the owners, who received an email on Dec. 2 notifying him that the money overdrew their account, the statement says.

A subpoena requesting information of the party who received the transaction and it provided an account belonging to Rolden-Guevara, the probable cause statement says. Other transactions allegedly listed for the account included a withdrawals of $20,000 and $1,000 on Dec. 2. Withdrawals of $20,000, $1,000 and $4,500 were made on Dec. 5.

Police received images for each withdrawal that appeared to show the same woman making withdrawals, the statement says. Police contacted the Department of Homeland Security for a photo from Rolden-Guevara’s passport, and the photo allegedly matched the woman who made the withdrawals, according to the statement.
