Missouri inmate charged with several felonies after allegedly stabbing man

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Missouri Department of Corrections inmate has been charged with three felonies after allegedly stabbing an employee at the Jefferson City Correctional Center in 2022.

Ricky McGluen, 42, is charged with violence to a DOC employee, possession of a weapon at a correctional center and armed-criminal action. An arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 14 at the Cole County Circuit Court.

The probable cause statement says McGluen stabbed a man on the left side of his head with a prison-made weapon.

McGluen is currently serving a 24-year sentence for second-degree murder and armed-criminal action. He was sentenced in 2011 for those charges.
