Holts Summit man charged with rape, sodomy, tampering with a witness, child molestation
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Holts Summit man is charged with multiple sex crimes, including rape and child molestation.
Mitchell Fox, 26, was charged in December with first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree kidnapping, two counts of third-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree domestic assault. A preliminary hearing for those charges is set for 10 a.m. Friday, March 17 at the Callaway County Courthouse.
He was arrested Jan. 13 by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office in relation to a Gasconade County warrant for a charge of third-degree child molestation. The charge stemmed from an incident in June 2018, according to Casenet. He is being held in the Callaway County Jail. That charge has a $100,000 bond. Court dates for that charge have not been listed.
Fox is also charged with six counts of attempting to tamper with a witness and nine counts of violating an order of protection. The probable cause statement says those counts are related to the rape and sodomy charges. It claims Fox made numerous phone calls from Dec. 10-21, 2022, while in custody at the Callaway County Jail. He allegedly contacted several people in order to try to communicate with the victim.
A hearing was held in that case on Jan. 18. Fox appeared by video from the Callaway County Jail. A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, March 17.
