Columbia man arrested after business robbery
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Prosecutors have charged a Columbia man with armed robbery and two other felonies after he allegedly threatened employees inside a business Tuesday.
Boone County sheriff's deputies arrested Korshawn Brown, 18, Thursday in the 5600 block of East St. Charles Road, just blocks away from the site of the alleged robbery.
Brown is accused of pulling out a gun, racking it and threatening workers before taking several items Tuesday afternoon at a business in the 5400 block of East St. Charles Road, the sheriff's department said in a news release. The threat happened after workers asked him to leave because they recognized him from prior incidents, the sheriff's office said.
A deputy found Brown early Thursday and arrested him. He had a handgun that investigators believe was used in the robbery, according to the release. The gun was reported stolen in August.
The release and court documents did not name the business -- a few businesses are located in the 5400 block.
Prosecutors charged Brown with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and having a stolen gun, all felonies. He was jailed on a $150,000 bond with a first court hearing scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
