Fulton man arrested on suspicion of child enticement

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police arrested a Fulton man on suspicion of child enticement on Wednesday.
The Columbia Police Department said in a press release that Cory Rickabaugh, 51, allegedly had several sexually explicit conversations with a child younger than 15 years old. CPD also claims photos were exchanged between Rickabaugh and the child.
Rickabaugh was in the Boone County Jail on Thursday on a $100,000 bond. His first court appearance was set for Thursday afternoon.
According to a probable cause statement, a girl told her high school guidance counselor she was "being groomed by an adult male." The girl said she had been in contact with Rickabaugh in 2019-20, when she was 13 and 14 years old.
The girl said Rickabaugh contacted her through the Snapchat application, where he requested photos of her. Rickabaugh allegedly asked the girl if he could "touch himself" and also allegedly asked her to be a part of his polyamorous relationship with his wife when the girl turned 18, according to the statement.
The girl told police that Rickabaugh would give her gifts such as his ex-wife's high school class ring and fairy figurines.
The probable cause statement said Boone County Cybercrimes already had a report on Rickabaugh and had a large file from his hard drive flagged by Google. Photos of the victim were included in that. The girl identified the photos of herself, when shown by law enforcement.
